Each Kundalini Yoga class follows a similar structure designed to achieve the best results for you, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Classes begin with a short mantra to: “Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo.” The mantra means, “I call upon my own inner guidance, the teacher within me” and assists in centering and focusing our awareness inside.
Students can either listen or join in with the mantra.
The teacher then leads the class in a sequence of warm-up exercises, which prepare the body for the yoga set.
After these warm-ups, a yoga set begins. Each yoga set involves physical postures (asana), breath work (pranayama) and meditation.
This is followed with a deep relaxation to allow for integration of the exercises and regeneration of the body and mind.
Each class ends with a song of blessing, in which students can sing along or listen.The words to this song are, “May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you, guide your way on”.
When the class is finished the teacher will be available to answer any questions.[mashshare]
For those who prefer a more individual service, I also offer individual Kundalini Yoga classes. This can be beneficial for people recovering for injury, unable to travel, or simply those looking for a personalised course designed to deal specifically with imbalances they are experiencing.
Before commencing the personal plan, I will consult with you to discuss issues and challenges you are facing. Together we will create a Personal Development Plan to achieve specific goals over a number of weeks.
The course will focus both on overcoming physical obstacles as well as facing and dealing with specific emotional issues and subconscious fears and beliefs which may be holding the student back in her life.
